He was the Avatar. He belonged to the world, not her.
Katara broke up with Aang when the demands of the world became too much but the Avatar is a hard act to follow. After five years Zuko arranges a peace summit in the Imperial City and they're all invited to attend. Reunion fic that's probably been done to death before but the world needs more Kataang. It gets more mature as we go on.
Update: The fic used to be called 'Helpless'. I've done a massive overhaul so it's a very different story.

Summary
Republic City University didn’t accept everyone.
That was the first thing listed on the homepage, not the rankings, not the distinguished alumni list that spanned three scrollable pages, not even the acceptance rate.
It was stated boldly, RCU does not accept everyone. As if the university itself wanted you to know that it was doing you a favor by letting you even try.
