“There are no men like me, aren’t they.” For a moment he thinks he shouldn’t have said it. But then there’s a split moment when they just stare at each other and then two things happen.
First, one of Brienne’s hands moves from his hip, and the absence of the slight pain he had been feeling feels somehow very, very sharp. Second, her lips curl up in a small, fond smile that shows a hint of crooked teeth, her eyes staring straight into his.
“Well, you’re impossible. But - as it does seem that I spent my life doing impossible things, I should hope I can manage this as well.”

So he makes it his business to know. He listens to rumors in King's Landing and pays a few coins to sailors and servants when he's on the road for what other news they can provide on the Evenstar. Whether she's alive, whether she's well. He never pries into her private life—who she beds these days is no business of his. And while she remains steadfastly unmarried, he doesn’t linger on why that may be. But he needs to know that she's still stomping around, doing good in the world, regardless of the danger or difficulty or the space by her side. A space that is no longer his to claim.

Addam abrió una rendija de la tienda, mirándole con preocupación. Eran los únicos en aquel campamento que habían leído las palabras del cuervo, los únicos que conocían lo ocurrido en Desembarco del Rey. Levantó los ojos para mirarle y, como si pudiera ver el incendio tras sus pupilas, retrocedió un paso y tragó saliva. Justo cuando parecía a punto de volverse, se armó de valor para pronunciar unas palabras suaves.
-¿Sabes qué vas a querer hacer con ella?
Se encogió de hombros. -Es mi prisionera.

O como una terriblemente alocada despedida de solteras y su consiguiente enlace trastocan la vida de Brienne y Jaime para siempre.
