Summary
In this version of reality, Max Caulfield is not the only chrononaut to appear in Blackwell during the events of Chrysalis. Instead, it is Nathan's regret at Chloe's murder that causes the first rewind, not Max's. This stays relatively close to the canon, although it includes deleted elements of the script as well as some headcanon elements to establish scenes that occur as a result of Nathan's powers.

Summary
On the Blackwell Academy campus, two students coexist without any connection. Nathan Prescott is the rich asshole that nobody wants anything to do with; just as he 'likes' it. Warren Graham is the overlooked science nerd whose very best friends can hardly force out of his armored shell- sci-fi movies and closed blinds are just so much easier to face.
Their respective secrets are eating them alive. Mr. Jefferson and his Darkroom looms in Nathan's past and present, while Warren shields the struggles of his transition from all of his peers, alongside trying to keep up with Max and Chloe reeling him into a conspiracy to find Rachel Amber. Coincidentally, Nathan's simultaneously working on a plan to avenge that very same girl... just from a different angle.
One accidental crossing of paths in the shared endeavor to turns into several more, until they cannot be untangled. While this creates the expected conflict at first, it slowly turns into something completely different and far more terrifying; unexpected harmony.

There’d been a subtle change in Nines over the course of the case. He seemed to acquire a strange new kind of motivation, beyond his preternatural single-mindedness, around the time the third body dropped. Reed couldn’t tell if it was a strange manifestation of frustration with a dead-end case or something else. Regardless, he strongly disliked it.
“Let’s find out.”
January, 2041. A two-year stalemate over androids' rights has changed frighteningly little in Detroit. Riots have given way to uneasy peace talks, but with neither side willing to compromise, progress is limited, and crime in the city knows no rest. Nines and Reed are already overworked and tense when the next nightmare falls right into the middle of their unsolved investigation.
