“I feel like… like everything’s being torn apart, and it hurts so bad that i-it’s like, like somethin’s tryna choke me.” He rambled on. “Sometimes I feel like something squeezing me and I just can’t breathe, a-and my hands don’t stop shaking, I try to stop but my heart just feels like it’s going to explode, and sometimes I get so scared because it just feels like I’m dying —” Johnny glanced sideways towards Buster, a look of a scolded child etched across his face and a glint of panic flashing across his features. “… I’m sorry.”
“... Johnny, we don’t apologize for being afraid.” Buster said quietly. “Being afraid isn’t something to be ashamed of — it’s what makes us strong enough to fight against what we face.”

or, buster finds johnny crying at the theater at night and offers him some useful advice along with a friendly reminder. (oneshot)
