“Will, you ready to blow out your candles?” Carlton murmured near his ear. His breath brushed warm against Will’s skin, sending a sharp shiver down his spine.
Before Will could answer, another pull came from the opposite side. For a brief, disorienting moment it felt like a quiet tug-of-war, both of them holding onto him.
“Will can walk by himself,” Mike said, almost immediately, voice tight.
“I’m sure he can,” Carlton replied evenly. “As his friend, I don’t mind giving him an extra hand.”
“Well, as his best friend, I can do it.”
A brief pause.
“Why don’t you help your girlfriend instead.”
Mike’s hand released him at once.

Summary
The walker lurched through the decayed forest, its pale flesh oozing and dripping from its open wounds. It stumbled and fell repeatedly as its clumsy feet tripped up on the vines and twigs that littered the forest floor. Every so often, the walker would make an inhuman groaning sound, as if it were trying to communicate, but it was unable to form anything coherent through its rotted vocal cords. The walker continued its shambling journey through the forest when it suddenly froze below where Sophia was perched.
She held her breath sitting above a tree branch, inhaling sharp and quick breaths. Suddenly the walker looked up locking eyes and Sophia couldn't hold back the piercing screamed that was building up in her chest.V didn't remember how she got here. In a body so very similar to her own except very very dead. She knew however that she wasn't supposed to be here. And she definitely wasn't supposed to save little Sophia Peletier who was supposed to just be a character on TV.

Summary

Summary
From here, he can see Mike's got his hair smoothed down, in that stupid way he's been doing lately, wavy curly mess tamed into something that resembles Ted more than Mike Wheeler. Will doesn't like it but then again, he doesn't have to. He's just a friend. Will hopes Hopper managed to connect with him, make him feel better in a way Will's been feeling like he's failed at.
He's coming closer and he can hear the silence. They're not talking. Maybe they're just sitting in a moment of quiet remembrance, maybe the conversation's almost done. Will's just about to announce himself when—
"I had this plan—" Mike starts, "That… Me and El were gonna go to someplace far away—" His voice is dejected and slightly strained where he leans forwards towards Hopper, as if he was trying to defend himself, "And no one would ever find us—"
Will turns around and walks back to the car, pretends it doesn't feel like he's running away, hiding.
