Summary
Soap is on his knees, his rifle clattering to the floor as a soldier presses the cold barrel of a pistol to his temple.
“Shit, shit…” Soap stammers, his hands trembling slightly. His wide, glossy eyes flick up to the man towering over him, his pale cheeks streaked with sweat despite the cold. He looks helpless. Pathetic. Completely at someone’s mercy.
He looks so fucking pretty.
Ghost’s chest tightens, something dark and primal bubbling to the surface. Soap’s lips part with a shaky breath, his throat bobbing with a nervous gulp. Ghost knows he should act, should intervene immediately, but his legs refuse to move. He swallows thickly, adjusting the tightening in his cargos as his gaze lingers on Soap’s position.

Summary
The relief of hearing that Sam is alive is a feeling like no other. Seeing the vicious realities of that is something else entirely.
He refuses to tell anyone what happened during his captivity though it's obvious it extends past the scars they can see. What his siblings do know is that hope was easily lost, harder to find and Sam isn't willing to look.
Darren has been arrested and that should be enough to make Sam feel safe. What if he's keeping something from them that could endanger them all?

Summary
Johnny shifts, making himself comfortable, or trying to, and something foul clenches in his heart. He watches him draw his uninjured leg up, flatten it down again, bend his knee to splay it, straighten it again, watches him tuck his arm under the pillow, put both on his chest, and sigh before star fishing out.
It's not for Ghost to watch, but he does. It's not for Ghost to note the bulge in his shorts that are shifting higher on his thick, hairy thighs from all the moving around, but he does.
And he should look away when Johnny huffs out a breath he can almost hear and cups himself, but he doesn't. It'll help settle him down.
It's private.
Soap breaks his foot and is sent away to heal. In repayment for the injury, Ghost offers him his nearby flat. It provides fast access to the base and task force, staying conveniently close. It just so happens to provide Ghost some different access, too.
In which good intentions aren't all that good, bad ones are just what the doctor ordered, and games lay bare what's been carefully hid. In a spiral of obsession and guilt, desire and fear, some guidance isn't amiss. But will it be enough?

This is incredibly dark, but also extremely well written and I would say the character development is interesting even though it hurts my heart a fair bit. I think this is one of those stories that will stick with me, but I honestly don't know if I would be able to read through it again in the future, because it’s very much a thriller with a lot of whump. Regardless, many, many Kudos to the author for really having both the guts and the talent to write such a story that is so genuine and terrifying. it’s really well done, maintains great momentum and I'd say it's worth the read if you have a strong stomach.
