“You’re my brother.” Technoblade says, far too genuine with it, and he reaches a hand out to touch Wilbur by the arm.
His fingers barely graze against Wil’s sleeve before his head is abruptly knocked to the side, teeth suddenly aching with Wil’s knuckles being landed right across his left cheek.
(or, a pogtopia!AU in which Techno is a God of War that Wilbur summoned to help out with their fight.
All’s well until it’s very much not, and Wilbur didn’t anticipate the fact that some gods don’t play by the rules, and that this one in particular takes any prizes he wants in war.
That includes Wilbur and Tommy.)

Summary
They hear about Technoblade in the news, on the new fancy radio that their neighbor owns. Phil listens close while hugging the both of them, and Wilbur frowns at the words in the air.
They say that the new avatar has been found. That he’s being kept safe and is being trained in a sacred temple so he can protect the world when he is older.
Wilbur thinks it’s bullshit. He says as such. Phil doesn’t even scold him, he just agrees. Tommy repeats him, and Phil laughs.
It’s the first time he’s laughed since Techno was taken.

“With the laws having been put in place for all these years, it is not wise to change our way of life so suddenly.” Wilbur says, giving a slight shake of his head, like he resonates with the bullshit he’s saying. “The people will be stubborn, they will not listen. Hybrids do not have a place within this kingdom.”
The avian gives a light laugh, like Wilbur’s told him a joke. “No?” He tilts his head, the feathers on his face shifting with the curve of his growing grin. Wil can see a sharp tooth poking out past his lips. “Then why is there one standing right before me?”
Wilbur freezes. He looks up.
The king is looking right at him. He’s talking about him.
Oh, no.
