Barbossa knows all about mermaids - after all, he and Jack Sparrow had many dealings with King Triton and his kin during their early adventures together as young men. Although Triton hates humans, and the predatory merpeople tend to view them as easy prey, he has a grudging respect for the two pirates, and owes them a debt after they returned his lost trident to him. Triton's youngest daughter Ariel is different from her sisters; she is sweet, gentle and intensely curious about the world above and it's strange inhabitants. After meeting a young Hector Barbossa, she becomes his friend and their strange relationship develops into a mutual crush over the decades. But what could come of an attraction between a beautiful, immortal siren of the sea and a once-cursed, one-legged Pirate Lord?
Would like to see Ariel's role in key events from the films - for example, perhaps she rescues Barbossa from drowning after he loses his leg and the Black Pearl to Blackbeard in On Stranger Tides? Or brings his body to Tia Dalma in order for him to be resurrected in Dead Man's Chest?

Ariel runs away and goes to Ursula for help, just like in the movie, Ursula goes into her "poor, unfortunate souls" routine and produces the contract... but this time, instead of signing, Ariel has a different suggestion. Rather than changing her into a human, perhaps Ursula would be willing to teach Ariel to transform herself? Surely Ursula could use an extra pair of hands with her potions and spells and things, and Ariel would make a very enthusiastic apprentice. Ursula realizes that there's more than one way to possess someone, and can't help but enjoy the thought of Triton finding out that his baby girl has become a Sea Witch, and so she agrees. Some Ursula/Ariel is okay, but I'd like the story to end with Ariel/Eric.

So I've recently found John C. Reilly's version of Lullabye in Ragtime on Tumblr and I really love the idea of Ralph singing Vanellope to sleep at night.
It doesn't have to be this song, but maybe he's taking care of her as she's sick, or just really tired but unable to sleep. I just really want to see him tucking her in to bed and singing to her and being all parent-y.
Bonus points if she makes fun of him a bit and protests because "that's kid's stuff" but she ends up being really comfortable by the sound of his voice and ends up falling asleep because of it.
