Laudna has six months left before she finishes high school and she can turn her life around.
She may be homeless, she may be lonely, she may be traumatised beyond belief because of that time she was actually murdered and then all of the horror that came afterwards, but things are looking up!
She has just started going to group therapy and everyone seems very nice! Also Imogen is there and she has always been very kind to Laudna.
Laudna might just be having the time of her life.Bell's Hell's in high school and doing group therapy together because none of them are actually okay.

Summary

Attempts to be canonical with what was known at the time I wrote it while also establishing a bunch of theories/headcanons I have for our girls. Bound to get less accurate as time goes on! Summary
“Not all of us have had years of experience lugging around hay bales.” Laudna admits and Imogen swears she sees Laudna’s eyes flicker to her biceps for a second. “I never said I was strong either. Rather, I’m quite dexterous.”
Heat floods Imogen’s cheeks at the implication that she knows Laudna didn’t mean, but god now she’s thinking about those slender pale fingers. How delicate they look when they’re flipping through her sketchbook to find a specific page, how sure and certain they are when she’s gripping a paintbrush.
OR
Laudna is commissioned to paint Imogen's favorite places around the Temult Farm. Insert tons of pining, farm hijinks, and a lot of nosey friends here. And hey maybe if they learn a little bit about love in the process, well, that's okay too.

Summary
The sword and the scabbard, one is never without the other. Without the scabbard, the sword cuts without direction, without rest. Without the sword, the scabbard is meaningless and empty, without purpose. One provides the home for the other, curbing violent tendencies, protecting the valiant hero. The other bites anyone who dares harms their safe harbour.
Lexington Trevelyan and Cassandra Pentaghast are both sword and scabbard, a partnership in all things.
The stories are mostly in order of timeline. They are mostly canon but because of the time between each fic, some details are not consistent across the series.

This is part of a fanfiction trilogy that will follow Minerva's story, beginning before the events of Shadow Dragon.
There's no need to have played Shadow Dragon in order to understand this, or Fire Emblem as a whole, really. It may be a novelization but it's structured as a fantasy novel, with all that entails.
The characters mentioned in the tags are the ones that get most of the spotlight. Many of them have important roles, but the main cast consists of Minerva, Maria, Palla, Catria and Est.

Warden: Aerinwyn Mahariel
Inquisitor: Faenra Lavellan (Mahariel)Aerinwyn is the mother of the Inquisitor, having birthed the girl about 9-10 years prior to Origins. She made poor life choices as a teenager. Aerin is a rogue Warden, skilled in Archery primarily, but uses daggers too. As time goes on, she picks up the ability to use other weapons, but is not very skilled with them.
Faenra is a mage that did not make poor life choices at all thanks to her over protective mother. Her only poor choice is following a cry for help and, oops, now she's the Inquisitor.
