Summary
Jack Frost has, since his death, lived three lives: he's been the Fun-oriented proto-Guardian; she's also been a kind, compassionate Winter Queen; and they've been an Ultra-hip, before-their-time Jewish mother. Jack has watched one child grow, just out of her reach, she could look but not touch just as with any other child. She has taken in the unwanted and cast-off as friends and family. She has made and taken care of and BEEN taken care of by friends, ranging from Queen Elinor of the Summer Court teaching her the art and science of Ruling a Season, to falling in love and raising a child with the time-traveling alien who taught her how to fight, to hosting the Ghost world's first Bat Mitzvah. He's developed skills and talents, and always ALWAYS defys expectations.
Let's get into that.
In the same universe as my other fic, "Raising a Legend", this work focuses more on Jack's relationships with their extended family and friends, where Raising focused more on the family unit of Yaakov/Jack-Motle/North-Aster/Bunny. For example, while there are mentions of and an appearance by my OC, Avagail in Raising, her stories will be here. I've also decided to put Yaakov and Aster's early/pre-Motle relationship here.

What if Grace was younger than we all thought? What if Grace was like 17 to 18 and his mannerisms are the reason Rocky treats him like a child? When comparing Grace's way of acting to actual human children, while watching films, and then doing some research. Grace is Pebble, and sadly, he will never live this down. 🤣
Or
Due to time relativity and the oddities of space and astrophage radiation, Grace has grown younger, and his aging has stagnated. Something Rocky is grateful for, but also something that will bring a lot of misunderstandings for Grace. Such as being Rocky's new alien pebble.

You are Ryland Grace, Chief Scientist, Head Astrophage Handler, and second in command of Project Hail Mary. We'll film your ransom in a moment, I trust you're intelligent enough to cooperate."
Grace stared at her. Stared at the floor. Back at her.
He was fucking WHAT?

Grace gets kidnapped by a terrorist cult, Stratt goes on a very polite rampage, several world leaders are harrassed, two bedrooms are forcefully entered, ilyukhina's vodka is commandeered and Grace finally gets a hug (feat. the Vat being a family, Vattling shenanigans, Stratt's wardrobe choices and Grace having self esteem issues)

“Yes yes, Rocky like tools,” Rocky takes the brush and examines it. He runs a claw along the densely packed bristles and trills a satisfied sound, “Eridians have similar tool for clean carapace.”
“Well there ya go, if you use that properly you won't hurt me, I promise.”
