“Let me go, Georgie. You can go back to your home and I can go to mine,” Missy rolled her eyes, crossing her arms tight over her chest, “I’m sure your family’s missing you.”
Georgie looked at her incredulously, shoulders tense, “You’re my family too, Missy! Hell, you were my family first.”
“Georgie just go!” Missy snapped, nails digging into her arms.
“No!” he snapped back, and for a moment it was like when they were kids and fighting over what channel to watch. But then it was gone and here they were, two in the morning and tired and broken.
Georgie ran his hands through his hair and looked at her desperately, like the fight had gone out of him all at once, “You’re my family, no matter what you think. Even if you don’t believe it, I’m not gonna leave you.”
Missy’s throat tightened. She looked away fast, jaw clenching hard enough to hurt, “But you should.”
Georgie frowned, brows furrowed, “What?”
“You should.” She snapped, harsher now because her vision was starting to burn, “I’m not worth all this shit. Just go home.”
Georgie stared at her. Then he came closer, slow, cautious, like she was a wild animal. And maybe she was.
She was just so fucking tired.
She was so tired that as he came closer and slowly wrapped his arms around her, Missy only tried pushing away from him once before she let him bring her close. One hand cradled the back of her head and pushed her gently towards him until her head rested against his chest, and Missy wrapped her arms around him, choking back a sob.

He didn't expect to join the Seven earlier than the canon version of himself did and have himself be latched on to by Homelander of all people simply because he treated him normally and without fear. (Dying once already makes death old hat)
And now he is embroiled in a cold war and tug of war over Homelander with a Nazi and finding himself embedded deeper into Vought each day. Laying low failed successfully he guessed.
