Summary
In the aftermath of Caine's breakdown, tension roils in the Circus. The old "normal" is burnt to ash, and a new one must be built. Things cannot go back to the way they were before, or they risk a much, much worse outcome than what they just oh-so narrowly avoided. There is no clear path forwards, only the wilderness of an uncertain future. But they must go forwards.

After being thoroughly embarrassed by the events of the Favorite Character Awards, Caine decides to try making the circus more appealing in any way he can think of. Even if that means confronting the Censors and coming to terms with why they exist at all.
Meanwhile Zooble starts to realize they may have more in common with the Resident AI than they thought... And that the Exit is slipping down their list of priorities.

She reminded herself that this was nothing more. Filterless-Caine was basically like a superpowered vibrator, an uncannily realistic sex robot that spoke and acted based off a folder full of downloaded romantic and sexual content from a sketchy, unmonitored internet connection. It wasn’t real affection, it wasn’t real attraction, it wasn’t real anything.
What it says on the tin- Pomni debates with herself over the ethics of getting frisky with her new AI-with-benefits. Said AI-with-benefits certainly does not feel ANY type of way about this, because AI does not feel things. Obviously.
