Fushiguro continues playing with Yuuji's fingers idly. "I'm sorry," he whispers, thumb resting on the stump of Yuuji's ring finger.
Yuuji shakes his head. "Don't be. It was my choice."
"For my sake," Fushiguro retorts.
Yuuji huffs, searching for something to say to ease Fushiguro's guilt, or at least cheer him up. "If you think about it, it means we're engaged now." Yuuji says thoughtfully.
Fushiguro pulls back to turn and look at Yuuji fully. "I don't think that's how it works," Yuuji can't see his face well in the dark, but from his tone knows the bridge of his nose is all scrunched up.
Fushiguro's hand is still resting on top of Yuuji's. Impulsively, he clasps them together, intertwining their fingers. "It could be."
"Your logic is…fascinating." Fushiguro's tone is slightly judgemental, but there's an undercurrent of fondness. He squeezes Yuuji's hand lightly.
"My logic is correct." Yuuji replies, nodding sagely.
