Unfortunately, it seems like the gods were not on his side once he heard someone clear their throat from behind him. He froze in place, his wings puffing up in surprise. He whipped around and found the source of the sound, Cub. He was looking at Grian with an unimpressed look on his face with his arms crossed over his chest.
“Cub!” Grian squeaked out, his eyes wide and filled with embarrassment. He winced at the sound of his own voice but kept a sheepish smile on his face as he continued to stare at the man who had caught him.
Cubs stance remained unchanged, but his glare at the avian deepened. “Really, Grian?”

While trying to sneak out of Scars base in the middle of the night, Grian gets caught by Cub and has to come up with a quick excuse to keep his marriage a secret.

Summary
It had almost been a year since he last woke up from his most recent hundred-year-nap, and yet, nothing really interesting has gone on. It was nice, of course, to see the progress of the little kingdom throughout the years. Each time he woke up, it was always a pleasant surprise to find that the scenery had changed yet again. But other than that, really nothing much.
He supposed it was kinda his fault for not expanding his horizons, so to speak. He hadn’t left this mountain for quite a while. All he really does nowadays is sleep, wake up, stare blankly ahead, sleep again, repeat.

They've been playing a long game akin to two truths and a lie with old memories for a week now, split up into little moments and challenges to each other's bluffs when inspiration strikes - like Bdubs dragging him bodily away from a project to be distracted and onto the couch, a formerly normal occurrence that now lead to Bdubs hovering over him consideringly, one knee propped on the edge of the cushions.
