Summary
Hawks was sent to spy on the LoV. Easy, right? Gather info, play along with the villains he's supposed to be selling out. But what happens when he gets a little too close to the group of misfits and outcasts for comfort. What happens when he ends up coughing up flower petals as the result of a certain blue eyes flame user? What happens when he cant dance along the fence anymore and has to decide between his duty and his heart?
Dabi knows Hawks is spying on them. He just knows it. So why hasnt anything happened to them yet? Why are they all still safe? Why are Toga and Magne still painting each others nails? Why is Twice still having arguments with himself? And most importantly, why is he coughing up petals when he thinks of the stupid bird?
Author note - Please note I have not watched the full show. I have just read a lot of fanfics and am basing this entire fic off of those. This might change as I continue to watch the show, but please dont hate on me if the characters or ooc. Also, there will be no smut as I am not comfortable writing that. “No, madam! I am sorry. I will do better. I won’t disappoint you again, I promise,” he stuttered out desperately.
She stared at him, deeming it as the truth. “You better, or I will need to remind you of your place once again,” she expressed with cold eyes. “You’re off work tomorrow, don’t want to risk you spilling all your secrets at work tomorrow now, do we?” All she cared about was the Hero Public Society Commission’s reputation. The quirk must have a cooldown time of 24 hours.
Before letting him go, she added: “We 'll tell the public that you got hurt fighting a villain and need to recover.”

The HPSC calls Hawks in because he hadn’t given them any useful information about the LOV. Since he refuses to speak, they punish him and activate a truth quirk with a 24 hour long cooldown. What seems to be a good way to get information from Hawks, soon backfires on them as a certain fire villain discovers what happened to Hawks.

"Exactly, kid's sick of getting the shit kicked out of him and wanted an out, but he's not up for doing villain shit. He's just crashing here."
