Summary
Hay una canasta en su puerta. Debajo de todas las mantas se escucha un suave gorgoteo, seguido de movimiento. No quiere ver, pero tendrá que hacerlo antes de que sus vecinos se den cuenta.
Entra la canasta y cierra la puerta con rapidez, contiene la respiración por unos segundos y la suelta, se arma de valor y mira dentro de las mantas. Lo recibe un bebé, un bebé con ojos verdes y pelo rosa tan claro que es casi blanco. Tiene un lunar cerca de la boca, y un olor muy familiar. Demasiado familiar.
Cachorro, piensa su mente traicionera.
Mierda. Mierda. Mierda.
No quiere ser padre, no quiere esto, aún es un adolescente. Es demasiado joven para esto. No quiere. Dejará el bebé en el orfanato y se irá, no quiere saber nada, no puede con esto. Demasiadas misiones que ponen en peligro su vida como para ser padre. Así que no lo será.
(Kakashi regresa de una misión Anbu, solo para encontrar una bebé en su puerta con una nota que dice que es su hija).

Kakashi was tired.
A couple times he still second guessed himself. Wondered if it would be better to fail the team and let whatever happens to them happen.
But every time he saw the photo of his old team, he remembered why he couldn’t.
He couldn’t let that happen to them. This system had already screwed them over. The people who were supposed to care for them had done the opposite.
Kakashi wasn’t going to be another adult who let these kids down.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen. And maybe I’ll only make things worse…” Kakashi murmured softly to the framed photo at his bedside. “…But I have to try.”
He had to. Or these pups were as good as dead.
OR: Kakashi realizes how bullshit it is that Team Seven was even a team in the first place, and does things differently. Screw Hiruzen for putting him in this position.
