Summary
Twelve years have passed since the first invasion of seemingly unkillable monsters commonly called the Necrophage. Digging from inside the earth their infectious bites can even reverse the effects of death to add to their hoards of chaos.
Such effects have been felt all across the Venusian Wastes and changed those who call it home. Sparse towns have risen to defend against the threats, with specialized sheriffs trained to destroy such things.
Michael Eldridge is one of these sheriffs in charge of Col and the surrounding region. He survived the initial invasion of Col, but not without being infected by the Necrophages' bite. Fortunately with the rise of medical knowledge he is in remission, but with that comes the stigma of being a dead blood.
Kavan Vineyard is a renown outlaw with a kind heart. He is a childhood friend of Eldridge with the same fate of being infected.
Both must face this threat together as they solve the mystery of the Necrophage.

Automated cabs sped throughout Detroit releasing an opaque gas that causes any Android who breathes it in to become frenzied and to eventually mutate in biomechanical monsters.
Hank is sent out to find Connor, who fled the city after his exposure. This is what happens while they were on their way back.

Summary
You weren't a technician, you weren't a security guard, you weren't a daycare assistant. You're just an employee. Staff. The ‘jack-of-all-trades’ employee with mediocre at best skills and specialty in none, tasked with doing miscellaneous jobs that robots couldn't do and human staff couldn't care to. The job is unpredictable, but it pays good and it's relatively easy.
Except for the part where all the animatronics are more sentient than you thought, and you're roped into a mystery surrounding the Daycare Attendants, who are bit too curious about you for your liking.
