The OC is written incredibly well - the dialogue is fab, realistic and fun to read. Her traits as a character fits so well within this context - not in a ‘this context was designed for her solely’ kind of way, but in a ‘this makes so much sense and actively makes this story better and amazing art’.
I really enjoy the progression of the characters, their relationships, and which parts of the journey the story acts as a viewfinder for.
I feel like this is one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever read. I didn’t think I wanted to read this, or that I would get as much mileage out of it. It doesn’t do any discredit to the darkness of hannibal and will + the goodness within the MC, none of their differences/oppositions have to change the other party in a strange way for the story to fit. This is so masterful and like. Ugh . Can you tell me reading Hannibal dialogue has an effect on how i’m speaking? Bro what the helly this is amazing

Summary
Will doesn't leave Hannibal's dinner party for his date with the Chesapeake Ripper. As a result, Hannibal alerts Will of his encephalitis that night and uses Will's recovery to explore his curiosity about friendship-- and what makes Will Graham fascinating. Hannibal's growing affinity for Will compels him to use a somewhat softer approach to influencing the man than he had originally planned, and Will isn't impervious to becoming the object of someone's affection after a lifetime of self-imposed social isolation.
TL;DR: S1 goes in a much fluffier direction as of "Sorbet." Will is Will. Hannibal is Hannibal, just a smidge closer to the man we know and love by the end of S3.

Summary
When the Infection ended without explanation, the Dreamers arose from their slumber, and the land of Hallownest began to drag itself back to life, Hornet knew there would be troubles yet to come. With most resources scarce, many of the surviving bugs left disabled by the disease, and the vast majority of agricultural infrastructure devastated, Hallownest may yet be undone: not by a higher being, but the mortal logistics of hunger. When scouts from Pharloom arrive and attempt to capture a Weaverling, Hornet sees an opportunity to turn what could be another disaster into a chance for Hallownest to recover.
Pharloom is, as always, starved for Silk. When the Grand Mother's wayward daughters are located, under the protection of a Wyrm, forcibly reclaiming them would be dangerous. Fortunately, Hallownest is willing to offer up its Weaver princess for marriage in exchange for supplies that can easily be spared. Accompanied only by her silent knight, such a creature will surely be vulnerable to the manipulations of Pharloom's court.
One third political drama, one third weird sword lesbian situationship, one third Five Knights At Pharloom's Is At The Organ And Going To The Play Me.

It patrols the Choral Chambers, alert and aware of its surroundings, eyes darting across the halls and rooms for any signs or life, audio sensors straining to hear any echoes of song or psalm. Once, twice, some small number of times that nonetheless blurs together, it cuts down one of the haunted choir bugs, its twin blades making quick work at rending their carapace. Its joints grow sticky with hemolymph, the many colors of blood mixing on its metal shell as if it were nothing more than a painter’s pallet. Soon it will need to clean itself. The bugs huddled together at the settlement to the east blanch and scare when it is as untidy as it is now. It will abide by their preferences. To defend the Citadel, to uphold its directive, it must assure the wellbeing of the few who keep their wits about them. It will not do anybody any good for them to fear their defender.
Or: A Second Sentinel character study mixed in with a bit of Hornet hurt/comfort.
