Arthur’s parties were never benign, despite his best efforts, and the traditional icebreaker—forbidding anyone from eating or drinking until something odd happened—certainly didn’t help, but never before had the former contemporaries of Camelot stooped to something so earthshaking and dangerous as karaoke, and their lives would never be the same.
This started as a crack fic idea about Galahad being forced to sing "It's A Sin" and Agravaine singing "Running Up That Hill" really angrily at karaoke night but became way more conceptually serious.

Lancelot knows sin, knows what it means to hold wrongness in his heart without repentance. He doesn’t believe in it, not exactly. He can play the role of a Good Christian when the situation calls for it - nearly all of the Court can - but he’s worshiped the Old Gods with every fiber of his being since before he understood what he was doing. He could never follow the tenants of a god that would not want his darkest parts along his lightness.
The shadows that dance around his heart are not for cleansing. He will worship with all of himself or not at all.

Loholt would never tell his parents this, but one of his earliest clear memories - the kind with words and sound and images, not just vague impressions of these things - is of almost dying. In the moment he was too young to really understand, still young enough to believe that because his parents were there everything would be alright. Later, that is what makes it so terrible.
