Summary
Michael Shelley and Gertrude Robinson go to Sannikov Land together, but only one of them returns to the Archives. In the Spiral halls, Michael makes the most difficult decision he's ever made; the Ceaseless Watcher and It Is Not What It Is cannot mix, and to pretend otherwise would only cause Gerry needless pain. It would be better for them both if he were to remain "dead."
Gerard Keay thinks his boyfriend is dead, at least until rumors of a familiar blond man start cropping up in newly-made statements. Finding what doesn't want to be found is hard, though, especially you're also caught up in trying to stop an apocalypse.
Note as of 8/2023 - this work is more than likely abandoned. I haven't found the energy or motivation to work on it in quite some time. That doesn't entirely mean I won't pick it back up at some point in the future, but as of right now it seems unlikely.

Gerry knows he — it is dangerous, but knowledge is his thing. It wouldn’t make sense to turn it away when it shows up. Even if it means forgetting himself for a while. He can stand to be the human half of something, from time to time.

Summary
Michael’s face was hard to read, he looked… Relieved? Surprised? And odd cocktail of both and something more? Gerry couldn’t tell besides the fact that he felt his hand being held a little tighter. No, not tighter, just held the way it should always be held. Maybe he was holding Michael’s hand the same way without even knowing it.
