Summary
Kakashi was tired.
A couple times he still second guessed himself. Wondered if it would be better to fail the team and let whatever happens to them happen.
But every time he saw the photo of his old team, he remembered why he couldn’t.
He couldn’t let that happen to them. This system had already screwed them over. The people who were supposed to care for them had done the opposite.
Kakashi wasn’t going to be another adult who let these kids down.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen. And maybe I’ll only make things worse…” Kakashi murmured softly to the framed photo at his bedside. “…But I have to try.”
He had too. Or these pups were as good as dead.
OR: Kakashi realizes how bullshit it is that Team Seven was even a team in the first place, and does things differently. Screw Hiruzen for putting him in this position.

Summary
Team 7 going back in time, deciding that Konoha isn't where they reach their potential. Or more like, they already reached their potential and are certain they won't be able to keep from decking, burning or electrocuting others that treat Naruto as anything other than the sunshine he is. Konoha finds out just how screwed they are around the time of the chuunin exams when Uzushio of all places enters a team to participate.

Summary
Naruto is three years old when he first encounters a fox. Six years old the second and third time, and it doesn't take long for other encounters to happen as well. Foxes enter his life and Naruto never cared to get rid of them, not even when Nine-tails comes along. They are there for him and that's just the way things are. He loves them, and he knows they love him back.
Or: Naruto has more foxes in his life. It doesn't change much, until it does.
