He never could have prepared himself for the face staring back at him. It was a grainy picture, something they’d clearly taken from security footage. That didn’t matter though, it was clear enough to make Neal’s stomach drop.
“I thought that might get your attention.” Peter remarked, clearly noticing his reaction.
“A friend of yours, Caffrey?” Jones joked.
“You don’t really have friends in prison,”

Summary
Neal Caffrey was fine.
If anyone asked him how he was doing, he’d put on a glossy smile and say he was never better. After all, he was out of that hellhole called prison. He had a fancy apartment with an amazing view, and a non judgmental landlady to boot. He had a great gig consulting for the FBI; and he got to work alongside Peter, something he had always dreamed about, getting to be up close and personal with the man who had put him behind bars...And with this new found agency, he could finally get started on solving the mystery that was Kate Moreau.
All things considered, Neal was doing great.
Wasn’t he?
Fresh out of lock up, Neal struggles to reintegrate into society.

“Do I really have to spell this out for you?” Neal asks incredulously.
“Spell what out for me?” is Peter’s reply. Jesus, he really isn’t going to get it.
“Peter.” Neal throws his hands out to the sides, gesturing at himself. “What do you think happens to guys who look like me in prison?”

Neal gets some news and has complicated feelings about it. Peter won't leave it alone and finds out way more than he bargained for.
Implied/referenced past SA in chapter 1, nothing depicted or graphically described but it is pretty much the focus of the entire fic, and some of the references to it could be considered slightly graphic. Quick scene of SA/attempted non-con in chapter 2.
