Somehow, Duviri was easy by comparison. All you’d had to account for was a handful of islands pulled back by a single day to save Teshin. You will need so much more time than that to save the Hex and you’re more than willing to break and bleed to get as much time as you can.

Some claim that the true definition of insanity is repeating the same actions while expecting different results. The Hex are, by this definition, insane. Until, through no fault of their own, they are given a chance. An offer few can refuse. What if, instead of starting the year over, they could start everything over? Would they - could they? - give it all away? For one last chance to kick oblivion to the curb?
