Ed trades innocence for knowledge at the gate, because a limb isn't enough for a brother. It makes him even more terrifying, even more determined, even more angry, even more aware.
Just such a good read that stays in the mind long after finishing. -

This series is in many ways the most realistic look at the sort of non-romance that Sansa and Tyrion would have for a long while, and how they could eventually come to an understanding and care. The politics are sensible, and each part of this trilogy reads in a very comforting tone despite the subject matter. A neat read!

Ed flicked the lighter again, waited a little more patiently this time, and inhaled. Then he gave Hawkeye a nod, giving in to the inevitable. The only reason Mustang hadn’t figured it out already was probably because Ed didn’t do a lot of... this sort of thing. The comfort thing. Mustang liked people to play into his expectations.
“Edward came out to smoke opium,” Hawkeye said at last. “He says it helps with the pain from his automail.”

Vokara doesn't often get to have a leading role in stories, but here she does and the butterfly effect of advocating for her charges results in changes so desperately needed for Canon! I really like the way the romance takes ages to build, which makes sense for both characters, and that Jon gets to have support in this verse as well.

Fascinating and a very unique work. Dark in many ways and I think it doesn't quite nail the catharsis one would expect in this sort of story, but very different than most time travel takes and a really lovely story of the trio all the way through.
Its unflattering or glazes over most of the rest of the village cast in a way that is unusual for these types of stories as well, so if you are looking for strong familiar supportive cast it isn't really there, they're really just background flavor minus a few moments.
I'm not sure how much I enjoyed it by the time I was done, but I do know I couldn't put it down and read it basically nonstop and I'll be thinking about it for a long while after, and sometimes works are better for challenging you in that way!

Surreal and exhausting and depressing and spiteful and delightful and so so odd. A SI story where the SI hates the universe and knows what is coming as an Uchiha, and how she approaches surviving it is... Honestly possibly the most in-Canon option possible. This has the true underlying horror of the naurto verse and how fucked Itachi and the Uchiha are, but manages a hopeful ending all the same.

Fantastic pacing and plot, a delightful MC, heartbreaking at times and concludes wonderfully.

Takes a second to build up, but a really interesting time travel fix-it where the focus is on Izuna and Tobirama instead of Madara. Very character driven more than politics, but well paced and the family feels are lovely. It's rare for these stories to have Taijima as a functioning character so that was a nice surprise as well.

After a serious and devastating attack, the Uchiha are in desperate need of a sealmaster. Unfortunately for them, the best candidate happens to be from the Senju clan. Fortunately for them, he doesn't seem all that inclined to act like an enemy.
Which is lucky because, as it turns out, there are plenty of other adversaries making moves in Fire Country - both the clans will need to make new friends to survive.
Madara would have been content if his new husband tolerated him and helped his clan stay safe. He doesn't quite know what to do with the fact that his husband doesn't stop there.

This is a fantastic BAMF Tobirama fic with lovely world building and politics. There's a real joy through the whole thing, despite the subject matter, and while the Tobirama here is a bit more socially effective here compared to other fandom versions of him, I really enjoyed it - especially the way he builds relationships with other clans.
The story ends sortof as the conclusion of act 1 without anything further, so the fallout and politics are not really resolved, but it is still a complete story with a haply ending. -

God damn this doesn't pack a punch so much as it has an entire MMA gym. A wild ride of emotions and really believable interactions with everyone around the premise of Tim not staying dead. I really like the way the Drakes are presented here: they're awful people and bad parents but they're not cartoonist villains and it makes Tim's feelings for them make more sense in turn. Just gorgeous work.
