Perhaps the Z Team can prove him wrong, and show him that there is still hope for us all, perhaps even for himself.

Chase thinks flowers are nice. They make a pretty gift and he's used to being given them from his co-workers, depending on the holiday.
What isn't nice is being given flowers with a very obvious and downright embarrassing meaning behind them. Directly to his desk, right out in the open, in the goddamn middle of the SDN offices. Which are then followed up by mystery gifts and sweet treats that he has no fucking idea where the fuck they're coming from.
He's being courted, he thinks. But there's no way that's the case, right? He looks like he's 80, swears like a fuckin' sailor and has enough attitude to piss off even the sweetest and kindest of people. He's not getting any younger; he's literally at his limit here. Hell, He could drop dead at any moment if he so wished if he were to simply take Mandy's amulet off.
So who the fuck was trying to date his un-dateable ass in broad ass fuckin' daylight?

Summary
Another reason the poster is so wildly expensive, even months later, is because that specific line of merch was also the release of Track Star’s first official merch line. He had only debuted a month earlier. Robert himself had only met the hero a week before his birthday. A week after his birthday, Track Star had started babysitting him.
Months later, he still does, even if Robert had grown too old for a babysitter.
“Call me Chase, kid.”
Robert removes his hands from his hips and crosses his arms instead, just like how Chase is posed in the poster.
It feels better than Dad’s pose.

If you were to ask a young Robert who his favorite hero was, he would say Mecha Man, just as everyone expected it to be.
However, his real answer is Track Star.
That answer hasn’t changed, even over 15 years later.
(Or: Five times Robert knowingly imitated Chase (and the one time he didn’t))

She starts to move, her eyes already on the water, when the sailor’s—Jayce’s—hand tightens ever so slightly around hers. Her gaze flits back to him. His eyes are half-open and unfocused, his lip trembling with the effort of trying to speak. When he does, he can only manage to grit out two words.
“W-wait…please...”
Mel almost smiles.
And then she disappears into the sea like she was never there, leaving her prince alone on the shore.
