“But,” Dean says. He doesn’t know where he’s going with it. Just that Cas’ face is right there, brows drawn together and cheekbones gleaming in the lamplight. It’s a face that’s made his heart skip probably a couple hundred beats collectively since they met.

Cas huffs and shakes his head, but he doesn’t seem to be interested in engaging in further discussion, so he just opens the book again and says without looking at him: “Good night, Dean.”
That’s all. Dean rolls his eyes and pushes himself up from the table, shoving the book a little rougher than necessary into the shelf and because he is a little shit and has to have the last word, he turns towards Cas again.
“So, I’m not getting a good night kiss then?”

When Dean discovers the ritual of Cas giving Jack a good night kiss, he teases the shit out of the angel. He doesn't expect for Cas to tease back. He also doesn't expect how much he likes it.
