Summary
Loki has many different moods. There are the good moods, the times where he’s full of energy, rocketing back and forth from one thing to the next, never stopping to breathe. There are the times when he’s quiet, peaceful, steady and content, and sits practicing his magic, reading a book, at peace with himself. There are dark moods, when he gets snappish and angry and ends up crying in Sylvie’s arms, and then feeling guilty for days afterwards. And then there’s this. The times when all he wants is to drink and eat and smoke and fuck, to take hold of every good thing life has to offer with both hands and fill himself up with it until he can’t take any more.
It’s definitely his favourite. He’s pretty sure it’s Sylvie’s favourite, too.

“Well, we saved you the trouble there,” Mobius drawls. “She’s already been pruned.”
You think your heart stops. You clench your fists, catch your breath. A million things come to mind, lining up to be said, but the one that comes out is:
“You’re lying,” because you need it to be true. You would know, you think, if she was dead.
“I might be,” Mobius says. “Lying to the god of all the liars. That would be a good trick, huh?”
The spark of hope you feel at those words is pathetic, but you know he sees it in your eyes before you can school your expression. You see it in his eyes, the recognition of your weakness.
“Tell me the truth,” you spit the words at him, clench your fists. All Mobius does is smirk.
“The truth?” He asks. “You have to earn that, Loki. It doesn’t come for free. If you give me what I want, I’ll give you what you want.”-
After Lamentis, Mobius brings Loki back to the TVA to interrogate him. But when he lies to Loki, and says that Sylvie is dead, he doesn't recant the lie. He taunts Loki with it instead, and soon pushes, and breaks, every limit that Loki has, leveraging his loyalty to Sylvie, and his own insecutities against him.

He thinks, if this is loving himself, then he feels fucking awful for people who hate themselves. Or he would. You know, if he wasn’t a narcissist who only loved himself.
