It's a common cliché often used in stories to quickly guide the romantic plotline along. A catalyst to expedite the relationship between the main character and the love interest.
Ways of Survival had become a reality and there was no question that Yoo Joonghyuk was the main character in this novel-world. So then, why was Kim Dokja the one who'd been hit with the aphrodisiac?
Didn't that make him... the love interest??

Summary
When Yoo Joonghyuk, a reserved and austere man, arrives at the door of a back-alley sex club he can't quite name what he's searching for. Nor does he know what he’ll find if he steps beyond the threshold, lit by the vivacious glow of the neon sign overhead.
What he does find is a stranger who dances like a flame and speaks like every word is a dare. Whose sharp eyes seem to cut through every layer he attempts to hide behind.
The lines blur quickly: between pretense and desire, performance and truth. But there was one thing Yoo Joonghyuk could see with blinding clarity. It wasn’t the club that got under his skin. It was the inexplicable pull of the man who waited inside.

“Close?” he asks, reading the signs in the way Kim Dokja throws his head back against Yoo Joonghyuk’s shoulder and gasps; spine curved and taut; elegant, long hands slipping against the smooth counter, before his arms fly back to wrap around Yoo Joonghyuk’s neck awkwardly in an angle that only makes his back arch more.
Yoo Joonghyuk contemplates his hard-earned, blissful life after the scenarios, and then jerks Kim Dokja off in their kitchen.
In that order.

Summary
“What kind of virgin are you?” Yoo Joonghyuk says in disbelief. He looks horny out of his mind, though, which is all that matters.
“One that you’re going to have sex with.”
Yoo Joonghyuk mutters something to himself, because he apparently forgets to speak properly when Kim Dokja's got a hand in his pants.
In all his years of faithfully reading Ways of Survival, in all his years of pining over a fictional character and dreaming up the wildest scenarios with his beloved protagonist, not once did Kim Dokja think he would ever get the real thing.
But then again, neither did he think that Yoo Joonghyuk had dimples. So much for never then.
