The away team is briefly taken hostage during routine negotiations, and Spock's drink is spiked with a sedative. McCoy is left to care for him, but it seems the sedative has an unwanted side effect, and there might be enough of it lingering to accidentally pass it along to someone else...
Scoffing, McCoy started to stand but Spock caught his arm with light force, upsetting his balance and causing his torso to land awkwardly across the Vulcan’s. He sighed and began lifting himself off. “C’mon, Spock, no need to be -,” but Spock was shifting closer as he backed away, their lips almost brushing and his arms making a grab for the Doctor’s face. McCoy jerked his head to the side and seized both Spock’s wrists. “Hey, what’s the idea?!”
“As I said, we have approximately two point five hours,” Spock responded. They stared at each other for several seconds, unmoving.
