Summary
The Kingdom of Hyrule has been usurped by the Demon King Ganondorf, but Princess Zelda refuses to officially cede her throne to the monster who killed her family, landing her in the castle dungeons. There, she meets her cell-mate, an injured young soldier named Link whose blatant defiance matches her own. Summary
Even at the quietest time in the night, the streets below are sparkling wet from the rain and neon signs, nothing like the deep dark frustration inside while Bigby paces and pulls his hair. Snow hasn’t called him back, and what he deserves has never been aligned with what he’s wanted (to crawl into her arms at the end of the day like a deeply, deeply wounded animal, for example).
But he’s got to face her at work in the morning after doing just that. So yeah, self pity is in order.
(Or, despite the overwhelming volume of work and political bullshit that’s been put on Bigby and Snow’s shoulders within five fucking seconds of Crane leaving- Bigby swears it’s a cruel distraction to the much more appealing romantic subplot going on.)
