Summary
It is the year 916 in the World of Progress.
For more than nine hundred years, SLA Industries, the company that had carved its enormous domain in the Known Universe after ending the Conflict Era, reigned supreme, yet never unchallenged. Enemies new and ancient, terrors reborn and rediscovered — the struggle itself never ceased across the territory ruled by the corporate authority and its demands.
Now, as the Time of Changes falls, an unexpected traveler breaches into the surface of the capital planet of Mort — an industrial husk, polluted and ruined by the company's actions, housing legions of monsters and truths hidden and buried between them.
Cast off from their home turf and missing their old leader, the Operators of Rhodes Island find themselves forced to work with the ruthless, evil company and its Operatives, which seems to be the only force capable of keeping the dangerous, yet eerily familiar world it created under control.
Guns kill; so does the truth.
