By now, Hua Cheng is resting his chin atop his shoulder, holding him close. The sleepiness in his voice pervades the rest of him too—his hands are light and clumsy, his breathing is deep and even. Xie Lian looks at him.
Hua Cheng looks back. “You sure you're alright? You seem a little on edge. And you’re really warm.” Hua Cheng runs his nose along the line of his jaw and it feels like fire licking his skin.
Xie Lian swallows and says, “I… think I just came.”
