"They call me the Dread Wolf. What will they call you when this is over?"
    ~*~*~
For eight years, she was Ny'ari Aldwir: discarded Dalish, Agent of Fen'harel, the Dread Wolf's hidden knife. A loyal confidant and trusted right hand. A mask to hide the truth beneath: Talenna Ethera, double-agent of the Inquisition. The one whose blade was meant for Solas himself.

Now, she is Rook. Bound by blood to the man she was meant to kill, and the only one capable of calling upon his abilities. The Dread Wolf, reborn. But between the threat of blighted gods and the ancient mantle that was not hers to bear, can she return to who she once was?

What will she be called when this is all over?

    Summary

This sort of job wasn't exactly his favorite. The slow 'stealth and stab' kind of contracts lacked the thrill of an all out fight, nor did it have the challenge of a poisoning or infiltration. This method was always the most lackluster, and Calien couldn't help but feel just a little bit disappointed. He'd been looking forward to a brawl tonight.

The only reason why he'd accepted the contract in the first place was for the quarry.

Lucanis Dellamorte. Master Assassin of the Dellamorte House. Grandson and former heir of the First Talon. Famed Demon of Vyrantium. And, apparently, now back from the dead.

Alas, an interesting target still died just as quickly in his sleep as a boring one, and no amount of disappointment was going to change that. At least with these quick in-and-out, dagger-to-the-throat contracts, he'd be back to the tables playing Dead Man's Tricks before sun up.

    Or so he thought.

    *

When Calien De Riva accepts a contract against the long-believed-dead Lucanis Dellamorte, he expects to be in-and-out well before daybreak. What he doesn't expect is opposition in the form of a simple Dalish hunter- nor the chaos she brought with her.

    Summary

Misuin thumbed at the shape woven into their hair. Smooth. Glassy. Cold.

They passed the pad of their finger over it a second time. Rounded…? But with a ridge down the center. It couldn't have been larger than one of those cased nuts that the baker's wife liked to eat. Misuin tugged the braid out in front of their face to inspect the shape further. The bauble was egg-shaped— ivory white, like bones or teeth— and glinted a clear reflection of the gentle veilfire candles up overhead.

All thoughts of the gala brewing outside— the solstice sermons, Mythal's expectations, the wall of appraising eyes— quieted, smothered by the sudden appearance of this new puzzle.

    "What is it?"

    ~*~*~

It is Winter Solstice, which means Misuin must once again be dragged from the shadows of irrelevance and shoved back into the spotlight of Mythal's favor for the span of a night. Such a short amount of time, and yet it still does not ease the annual discomfort they must face at being reminded once again. Reminded that they are not their own person. Time passes, and yet the sting does not wane.

That is, until, Daras reminds them of another time. Another truth.

    Summary

Most often, revelations of memory are soft things, pillowed in sweet, sometimes-sorrowful rumination. They are stirred to mind by a lost bauble suddenly found, or a nostalgic scent carried on the wind. A chance reunion with an old friend. Sometimes, however, on those very rare occasions, one's past could return to them delivered on the edge of a knife.

Teia just never imagined that the man who saved her twenty-five years ago would be the one wielding it.

A canon-divergent prelude to an Enemies-to-Lovers set up between Zevran Arainai and Andarateia Cantori, where a chance meeting twenty years prior set the two on a path of eventual collision, placing them both on opposing sides in a war over the rise or fall of the Antivan Crows. Zevran, who was once Teia's savior, suddenly becomes a threat to the lives of herself and her underlings, and she must weigh the price of her own life debt against the cost of fallen friends. And at the end of the night, someone must be made to pay.

    Summary

A year has passed since she first received the Inquisition’s summons. A year, since she took a new name and left everything else behind. A year of brutal training, working alongside the Agents of Fen’Harel and climbing their ranks, just for this one opportunity. A mission to Tevinter. Another step closer to earning the Dread Wolf's trust.

All Ny'ari had to do was kill a magister.

However, the scope of her mission escalates when she suddenly finds herself crossing paths with Fenris, a mysterious elven warrior, and an herbalist from the Denerim Alienage on the hunt for their long lost relatives. Brought together by circumstance but united in goals, all three agree that their best chance to track down and corner the elusive Magister Caladrius is to work together. Following the trail of a crime committed over two decades ago, they find themselves faced with having to navigate the messy political landscape of Tevinter’s capital; confronting slavers, befriending local rebels, sneaking into the Circle of Magi, and even infiltrating a gala held by Magister Caladrius himself. But when it is the safety of long-lost family on the line, who can say what risk is too high to take?

    Summary

Their bodies were a tangle. Bare skin, bronzed by sunlight and sealed in sweat. There was no contract older, more sacred, than this. Than the brushing of lips upon her throat's most tender spot and the ghosting of fingers as they traced across her stomach. Josephine shivered, delighting in the touch.

"So have you made your decision yet, Princess? The sea yet beckons."

    *~*~*

A very tropey and self-indulgent Pirate/Noble Woman fanfic except its Josephine and Isabela and sapphic as the high seas themselves. A gift fic for the 2025 DAFF Moodboard exchange. Hope you enjoy!

    Summary

It was late. Later than what had been agreed upon, and the growing hour was beginning to dance upon his nerves. By the count of the candle marks, it had been five hours since he had been forced to bribe the owner into keeping the doors unlocked and at least some of the lamp oil burning.

Every gold spent would be coming out of his cousin’s pocket.

    ~*~*~

A drabble meant as a direct follow up to the short story 'The Wake'. A goodbye between cousins and a new start for one of our favorite Antivan Crows.
