“We better give the people what they want,” Val lilted.
Velvette is doing a 24-hour livestream to promote Hell’s answer to BuzzBallz. Valentino crashes the stream and gets the degenerates and shippers in the audience very excited. The pair are willing to do almost anything for a fan who pays.
And nobody is a bigger or better paying fan than the Tower’s very own, Vox :)

Baxter's contract with the Vees means that even though Vox is out of commission, he's still beholden to their whims. This is a manageable prospect when Baxter's being asked to do some work on Vox to make his...current state more user-friendly, but it's not such a manageable prospect when Val starts coming on to him.
(AKA: Val calls Baxter into VoxTek to "fix" Vox, menacing and hitting on him the whole time, until he finally decides to just take what he wants if Baxter's not going to give it to him.)

What follows is twelve nights of deleted downloads, a silicone substitute that stops working, and a 2 AM walk down a penthouse corridor that ends with her climbing into a bed she has no business being in.
The Vees don't do gentle. They don't do safe. They do efficient, and when Velvette's forty-one-year-old walls start showing cracks, her boys do what they've always done best: find the fracture line, apply precise and sustained pressure, and repurpose the rubble.
