So, she tries something she knows a little better: What would Shauna do?
Or: the night before her wedding, 22-year-old college dropout and plane crash survivor Jackie Taylor accidentally commits a terrible crime. She runs away to Europe to find the only person who might be able to help her (well, maybe she was looking for an excuse regardless).

Jackie corrects her.
“Until I broke my fucking arm Nat.”
Or: One thing about Jackie Taylor is she *will* match Shauna's freak and she *will* keep Shauna in line. Even in the wilderness. Even with a broken arm.

Summary
Three months after rescue, Melissa reluctantly agrees to join Van and Nat on their road trip to San Francisco. What she doesn't expect, is for Shauna to end up behind the wheel.
Navigating cramped motel rooms, shared beds, and growing jealousy, every detour brings Shauna and Melissa closer to tearing each other apart. And while the others prepare for a fresh start, Melissa has other ideas.
There's only one thing for sure… the view at the end will be to die for.

Deb’s words rattle around Jackie’s skull as she stands outside the hospital room. The plain wooden door seems to mock her. Why can’t she grab it? Why is she just standing there?
"She’s not the same as you remember."
Jackie's appendix ruptures the morning she's supposed to board the plane to Nationals. The flight never makes it to Seattle. Two years later, rescuers find the team alive, and Jackie thinks her nightmare is finally ending. Except the Shauna that returns to their hometown is not the same as the one who left.
