Shane works hard to learn Russian. Ilya might not survive.
He knows Shane wants to get it right, to be as perfect at Russian as he is at everything else. He had asked Ilya to correct his mistakes so he could learn, but Ilya hates seeing him be so tough on himself when he’s been doing so well. And, if he’s being honest, some part of him doesn’t want Shane to be perfect because this clumsy fundamental Russian sounds so much like love. Effort. Devotion. He loves Shane’s bad Russian. It’s very, very cute. So, sometimes, he lets things slide.
Also, he really can’t explain any of the rules.

Summary
“I clipped his wings,” Kavinsky says, conversational. His own hands trace behind Ronan’s, overtaking them to press into sweaty, prickling flesh. “I wanted a dragon, but he kept wandering off.” His lips pull wide in a grin as sharp as a snake’s, tongue flicking out to trace his own teeth, his lips. “Better than a leash, don’t you think?”
Ronan can say nothing with that tongue suddenly in his own mouth; warm and wet and alive in the way dying in a dream feels like.

Adam huffed in laughter, and his leg moved in, a bit closer. Invited Ronan to turn, nuzzle, murmur the tail end of his sentence along the sensitive spot behind his knees, up to the middle of his thigh where shorts had shifted up. Summer draped sweat and lethargy in a heavy blanket, and it presented in the barest traces of sweat he picked up along his tongue. “Later.” Adam said, and he meant it as a joke. It was a joke.
“Gross.” Blue said, where Ronan went silent and no one, really, noticed.

The door opened to reveal Adam Parrish, Esquire, Attorney at Law. He was well dressed, tall and slender, with piercing blue eyes set deep in a handsome, angular face. His forehead was furrowed in a perturbed manner that made his fair eyebrows look like one long pale, blonde line. He had not one single hair out of place anywhere on his head, nor a wrinkle in his neatly tailored suit. He had dark circles underneath his eyes, and a few faded freckles dappled the bridge of his nose. Despite those two very human and almost boyish physical attributes, there was an innate peculiarity to his demeanor. He looked uptight, just like his office. He looked annoyed, just like Ronan.
Adam Parrish frowned at Ronan, and then he said, “I’m sorry. I don’t take criminal defense cases.”

Gansey takes one second, two seconds to feel the full weight of humiliation, still furiously hard, the shock of Adam's appearance not helping at all to subdue his erection. He cautiously adjusts himself so he's as hidden as possible before rolling down the window.
Adam jerks forward as he feels the window winding down and half-turns. There's a wild blush on his face and down his neck. Gansey feels an odd stab of pride, then intense guilt.
"Hello, Adam," he says, perfectly smooth despite how out of sorts he feels. "Ah, sorry about that." An image of Adam, bent over the Pig, hands scraping through the engine, flashes across Gansey's mind.
