Katsuki was on his way home, tired after his shift at the firehouse but ready for whatever his Thursday had in store for him. He could handle anything that any day threw at him, and Thursdays were no different.
So, when a huge shadow fell over him and the whole sky above was blocked out by a massive shape hovering over the park he was cutting through, his body went on alert, ready to react to whatever came next.
Admittedly, he was hoping for something more impressive to react to than a blindingly bright flash of light; but the speed with which he flinched and brought his hand up to shield his eyes was still easily in the top 1% of reaction times.
(OR, Katsuki gets abducted by an alien, and both of them end up with way more than what they would ever have expected.)

Shouta didn’t hate his birthday. He didn’t care for it either. It was just another day, as far as he was concerned. He mostly preferred when it fell in the middle of the week, as it usually prevented his friends from trying to organize anything too ridiculous for him.
Of course, this year, November 8th fell on a Saturday.
Fortunately, Hizashi’s plans involved the kind of celebration Shouta was quite happy to enjoy.

“For fuck’s sake,” Shouta snapped. “Will you morons shut up about it if I show you?”
“...What?”
Hizashi and Oboro won't stop whining about their inexperience with the "mythical" female sex. To shut them up, Shouta, a trans man, offers to show them his parts. It devolves from there.

So these flashes he'd been getting? Of all sorts of different scenery and eras and of Shouta? Well, if he couldn't have the real thing, Hizashi was more than happy to let his imagination run wild with whatever it wanted to come up with. And he really, really had thought it was his imagination.
There were a few times he'd even laugh and tell Shouta about the things his mind had come up with. “Once I imagined we were fishing together in this really murky pond!” or “Hey, I think you'd look so cool in Samurai armor – wha'do'ya think?” and even “Oh, oh, I had a dream the other day that I was a fancy noble and you were my bodyguard!”
Shouta always rolled his eyes and looked exasperated. Usually he scowled and told Hizashi to focus on the present, please and thank you. Hizashi laughed each time, but he enjoyed the day dreams too much. Shouta always looked at him so softly in them.
He never looked at him like that in real life.
