"GREAT! Just great! As if this could GET any better!" Zanka bites out, seething. Of course he's stuck here, injured, in a damp, dirty cell, and of course he's stuck here with fucking Jabber of all people.
Jabber whistles appreciatively, "Man, you're in a mood today. Wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" and cackles at his own joke. Zanka's gonna strangle him. He's gonna rip out those bars with his bare hands and use them to beat Jabber to death.

Summary
Zanka’s breaths are short and wet– he’s not long for this world. Without his mask and with that gaping wound in his chest, anyone can see that he’s not going to survive more than another minute or so. Jabber sits beside him, giddy with anticipation as he waits for Zanka's inevitable death.
Jabber gets trapped in a time loop where Zanka dies, over and over. It doesn't bother him- he loves the look on Zanka's face as the light fades from his eyes- until he comes to a few realisations about himself, and then it really, really does.

Summary
A 'flock' of Angels is a term most often used to refer to the disciples of an Archangel, most often as a form of endearment. For the second time in Heaven's history, an entire flock has descended into Hell against the wishes of their superiors to follow their mentor.
Unfortunately for three Powers in particular, they were late to the delve, and their own attempt at following the rest of their flock left them in the wrong layer of illusions. At the least Hell is being emptied, so the journey shouldn't be too dangerous, right?
Alternatively:
“Abihail,” he grumbles as he sits up. He looks at the other Power.
“Yeah?” he asks, out of breath as he stands and helps Eike to his feet, then helps reconnect the golden arm into its ‘socket’.

The other model held the pose for a moment before seemingly deflating. V1 kept staring.
It shifted closer, then crouched, joints bending with casual ease.
"Geez, ok, maybe you are brain damaged after that. It's me, Mirage, remember?"

Earth was falling, everyone knew that the moment the sun was eclipsed and nations began to fall one by one to Cyn’s murderous pets. Every tool and trick in humanity’s arsenal has failed to stem the tide, super weapons rendered null in the face of the Absolute Solver. Desperation led to the creation of long begotten war machines, a last ditch effort to stave off oblivion. Ethics discarded in favor of self preservation, these horrific machines were assembled by the thousands.
Amongst these man made horrors, these very affronts to God, there was one machine forged with a singular purpose, entrusted with the task of avenging humanity and ending the nightmare that was the Absolute Solver.
Thus, with humanity’s last dying breath, this Supreme Machine was unleashed upon the world.
We could only pray for God’s forgiveness in that same, feeble breath.

D3rLord3 leaned back enough to take a step, but was stopped by something solid pushing against his back. It was as big as the trunk of a tree, but not as rough as it slid around his armor and pulled him closer, closer to the king while all he could do was watch the embroidery on the thing's robes dance with glee. His eyes slid up the King's grand frame to rest at the black veil over it's face which moved at the slightest shift of D3rLord3's vision- but still, beyond the veil he could feel eyes piercing his own.
