Minori stepped forward, then turned and looked back behind her one last time, gazing at the city walls. For her entire life, she had never left those walls, but now, she’d be gone for an indeterminate amount of time, with no way of knowing when or even if she would return.

She ripped her gaze away from the city and proceeded into the forest, along the dirt path that would soon end, and into the unmarked unknown.
Minori Hanasato is a mage, sent away from the city on a quest to become a full-fledged magician. Along the way, she meets three new people that might just change how she views magic, and her world as a whole. A tale of magic and romance, and of two sisters, and of four magic users (and many others).

Summary
After Voleth Meir and the massacre at Kaer Morhen, Yen spirals into thoughts of self harm. She feels alone, rejected by Geralt, and is just beginning to feel the effects of the trauma she suffered when she'd lost her magic.
Then she discovers a pair of dimeritium cuffs.
When she allows the cuffs to take away her magic momentarily, and then she regains it, it begins to restore her sense of safety.
But she needs more to help her heal. A most unlikely person (Jaskier), is her port in the storm.

The cuffs sat on the table beside them, wrapped in her scarf. She pulled them out slowly, almost tenderly, and sat them in the space between her knees and Jaskier. The key laid next to them.
Jaskier fell into a reverent silence. The crackling of his torch and the tinkling of the chains was the only sound.
“Alright,” she said. “I’m going to put them on. I’ll click the first one shut, then the second one. Then you’ll lock them. Go ahead, pick up the key.”
Jaskier picked up the key and slid it between his fingers, stroking it like it was a talisman. He was barely breathing, watching her like she was some kind of goddess.
She cleared her throat and looked down. “Here we go.”

Yang’s hand comes to rest on the back of Blake’s head, tangling in the half-bun she’s pulled her hair back into. Blake lets out a little pleased sound and leans into the touch. “Mmm good point. I bet you she tore off the sleeves of that uniform of hers. We should definitely get arrested.”
Or, what was a very shaky - if logistically solid - plan to reintroduce themselves to the Atlas crew in Vacuo goes slightly sideways, the gang spend some time in jail, Neo continues to be an agent of chaos, and Weiss just really wants to kiss her girlfriends.
