Mike Wheeler had two regrets in life: Marrying at 20 and not admitting his love at 16. Yes, those two were related.
Mike's life was a complicated one. His relationships and feelings, even more so. When he had been a teenager, and death was looming above his head, he recalled his thoughts as having been much clearer. But that's certainly not the case.

Written before E8 (haven't watched it yet, but I'm still open to spoilers if you want to bash it in the comment section) so what could've been Mike Wheeler in the epilogue. Will is dead and Mike, both to honour their story and to heal, writes down in 5 Volumes what happened between 1983 and 1987. A character study with no dialogue and in general just a fun thing I wrote before E8. Funnily enough, although this is tagged as unhappy ending, from what I've understood canon wasn't particularly better.

Edit: Okay I fear my definition of bittersweet is like, a bit shitty here. It's like if we said "Oh Will is gonna move on from Mike in 24 hours and magically get an epilogue boyfriend" and then call that satisfying. I wonder who could do that. Anyways this fic is probably closer to unhappy than bittersweet but idk. Maybe it's a mix. Did I mention it's not particularly good?

Summary
Okay this will be seen by no one. I am 100% sure. But it was a fanfic that I wrote after I woke up with a bunch of theories about what could have happened. Do I think this happened? Probably not. But it could have. And I love theorising about this game. So this one-shot is from Lily's point of view spanning before episode one until the end of episode 2. It had a bunch of theories that I tag, and here I portray Lily as a good person trying to help her friend but is too caught up with vault8 and is also trying to save her own life. I have never written in third person again or in past tense, so it will probably have grammatical errors. Sorry. I want to gift this work to fellow theorist on Discord @silentshadooow but idk if they have an account here. Actually I literally joined discord 3 days ago but idk it feels right. It's teens and up for cursing and blood. I think that the tags work? Idk
