Summary
This little brain blorb has been jangling around my head. DL6 didn't happen and the childhood friends stayed friends. Shenanigans ensue.
I LOVE THEM.
I wanted to explore that beautiful friendship dynamic that we see so little of in the franchise. And this is mostly just silly domestic friendship stuff aside from Phoenix pining for Miles HARD. (and vise versa but he doesn't know that just yet.) There is a bit of a trauma jump scare that I'm planning a little further in. But hey! You don't need to worry about that right now :D
(The trauma will lead to better things, trust.)
For the most part it's just a buncha college aged boys dicking around. And Maya is there to bully the shit out of them (in a funny sibling way).
P.S The eventual smut is real and it gets a lil crazy be prepared. 😋

Waaaaahhh!! It’s over!!! 👈 these were my immediate feelings when I finished the last chapter. This fic is so fresh and young just jam packed with wholesome glowy feels - even the angst and the sexy bits just left me feeling so happy and well taken care of. The first person perspective of Phoenix here just helps you empathize with him so much. He’s young, he’s been through some serious shit, he doesn’t have parents or blood family in his life, he has adhd and is just trying to survive and get through art school man, and the way his friend circle is portrayed in this au… I just wish everyone had such people in their life like this.
Come, read, stay a while in the feelings you will get from reading this. It’s so worth your time. I wish there was more ❤️
