Adults now, they cross paths again, and Din takes the chance to learn more about his people.
Journeyman Protector Jaster Mereel comes across a beroya hunting on his land. Turns out it's the kid he saved in the Fighting Corps years ago, who now asks him for history lessons. There isn't a universe Jaster says no to this.
