“It means,” Touya said hotly, standing up again. “I will embarrass myself in front of him and then I can never live with the shame and all the animals in my care will die because I can’t see the vet again after I tell him I think he’s a work of art that sprung from the page because paint could not contain his beauty.”
Kurogiri whistled. “That is a lot.”
“Touya’s a lot,” Tomura pointed out.
“He can’t know I’m a lot,” Touya bemoaned, sinking into a crouch again.

Gross, but whatever, he’ll clean it up later. When the pigeon isn’t still in the room. His brows furrowed as he did his best to get himself somewhat professional looking again. Hawks was here for business reasons, after all.
“Bout what.” Dabi asked with the poorest attempt he'd ever given to not sound annoyed and one step away from setting his room ablaze.
“Bout...stuff.” Hawks replied sheepishly, god, Dabi hates this bastard.
“You fuckin’ with me, birdie?”
“Look- I just wanted to relay back some intel on the Commission's plans for the next few months! Didn’t expect you to..."
“Be jerking off? Yeah, real nice of you to stop by. You catch a good view?”

Summary
When Touya Todoroki set the mountainside ablaze at fifteen, he meant for it to be the end. The end of his suffering, of his father’s expectations, of the boy who could never measure up. But Enji arrives before the flames can take him and drags Touya from the fire. For the first time, Enji sees what he has done, not only to his son’s body, but to his heart.
“I said I was sorry…” he murmurs.
Enji exhales slowly, but his gaze remains fixed on the burn, angry and red, skin blistering as he covers it up carefully. This is not the first time, and they both know it won’t be the last. For a moment, Touya has all of his attention until the soft cries start from inside the house. The baby who always seems to need something. Enji lifts his gaze, hands stilling on Touya’s arm.
Touya clenches his jaw and pouts a little when he notices Enji’s attention has been divided now.
“There’s nothing to be sorry about, Touya,” Enji says finally. “But you need to be careful. You know better, don’t you?”
He always asks questions like that, ones that aren’t really questions at all. Even at nine, Touya knows that there’s a right answer and a wrong one, and neither of them has anything to do with the truth.

Summary
When Momo speaks up at the end of the Quirk Assessment Test, Aizawa is quick to rebuke her naivete. When Izuku sees her reaction, he knows that nobody else in the class has dealt with a teacher quite as unfair as Aizawa.
He resolves to protect and prepare them for dealing with a teacher who will take any opportunity to beat them down.
Shota is very pleased with his newest class. Finally, a class that is independent and taking heroics seriously. They don’t come begging for handholding or complaining about things being too hard, and they’re advancing faster than any other he’s taught.
But a class that learns that they can’t rely on adults for one thing won’t rely on them for others.

Izuku Midoriya is not strong, not in any way that matters. Quirkless and markless he is bound to a pitiful fate. That doesn't mean he won't struggle for his place all the same. If only until Shoto meets his soulmate. Until then he'll live happily as Shoto's boyfriend and he won't complain about the covered patch of skin over Shoto's chest.
Better to live as place holder than an unwanted burden.

As the power flickered out in Keigo's flat for the third time in as many months, he had to come to the disheartening conclusion that vigilanteism simply didn't cover the bills.
Low on money, Keigo tries out selling scented items online to make ends meet, and ends up with a decent side hustle and a few regular customers. One of whom, BlueFlame, is particularly helpful when it comes to Keigo navigating this new area and becomes, dare he say, a friend even. Very helpful when Keigo needs to vent about his crush on the scarred man his new delivery gig keeps sending him to the door of.
