This patient was clearly more cooperative, as Dr. Bryant had hoped he would be. His chart marked him as a new involuntary acquisition, which was always a wild card, but he had surrendered himself to the intake facility at his appointed time after the foreclosure procedings had gone through, and he had been compliant with all instructions since then. Any non-compliance would have been written up by the orderlies, the same way Dr. Bryant would note any trouble the patient gave him during his initial exam.
"Good morning, Mr..." Dr. Bryant glanced at the patient's chart again to double-check the name, then set the clipboard on the desk to extend a hand. "Alex Martin, is it? I'm Dr. Bryant."

There’s one thing one must know about Hermes.

But the most important thing one must know is that Hermes. Doesn’t. Wait.
He doesn’t. Or… tries not too. He despises waiting. He is- after all- the god of swiftness. The Divine Messenger. And one can imagine his job is very very hectic- and very very important-
And- all things considered—
He can’t afford to wait.
There is always a letter to be sent- parcels to be delivered- notes to be passed- messages to be orated- always a place to be-
Gods forbid he run late!
All of that aside and if he were given the option— Hermes probably- most likely- almost certainly- wouldn’t have taken his most recent promotion should he have known it required waiting.

Must be a hell of a favor, Claude thinks, if it has him worked up like this. “Okay,” he hedges. It can’t be money; Caelan makes enough of it these days. “What kind of favor?”

Summary
Sidney grows up hearing about the types of soulbonds, and every time someone gets gushy about them Sid just rolls his eyes and goes back to whatever it was that he was doing.
