Summary
Christmas was supposed to be perfect.
Bobby got the entire A-Shift two days off. Athena opened her home to everyone. Eddie and Christopher were determined to give Buck the Christmas he never had growing up. For the first time in years, Buck is actually excited for the holiday.
Then Maddie invites their parents.
As old wounds reopen and decades of hurt come crashing down around him, Buck is forced to confront the truth about his childhood, his family, and the brother he was never allowed to remember. But this Christmas, he’s not facing it alone.
Because Bobby and Athena have already claimed him as family. Christopher loves him unconditionally. Eddie would burn the world down for him. And for the first time in his life, Buck might finally learn what home is supposed to feel like.
A story about grief, healing, found family, and the people who choose to stay.

Summary
For a moment, Eddie is quiet.
He stares. Blinks. Stares some more, his mouth opening and closing around nothing.
And then all at once, he zeroes in on the photo collage across the room, and his body goes completely still.
They’re all couples. Happy, blissful, newly married couples, still in their suits and long white dresses, holding each other close beneath the familiar branches of a willow tree. The same branches billowing in the wind outside Eddie’s bedroom window.
A wedding venue. He woke up in a wedding venue.
His wedding venue.
Eddie wakes up on the morning of his and Buck’s wedding. Everything has been meticulously planned—the suit, the flowers, the venue. There’s just one problem: Eddie is straight, and he and Buck are just friends.

Summary
Buck wants to be Eddie’s too. It’s a visceral want, crawling up his throat, choking him with its needy hands. Buck loves Eddie so much it’s become its own creature. A living, breathing thing that’s burrowed in his bones. They’ll cut him open and it will all come pouring out– red syrup, a mind of its own, fat with greed for Eddie. Insatiable. This love is the centre of him. It’s the point of him.
As he falls asleep, Buck wishes that, if he can’t tell Eddie, he could show Eddie just how much love he holds inside of him.
///
Or: Buck's love for Eddie becomes tangible and it becomes everyone else's problem.

Summary
Eddie huffed out a laugh. "I appreciate the concern, but I think I'd be able to handle myself against Craig, the fifty-four year old business rep who smells like ham." He said, taking a big bite of his cookie.
Hen chuckled, shaking her head. "No, I just mean, like—the Uber thing as a whole, I guess. With that ass, you could've just slapped on a pair of panties and took a couple pictures, and boom, you'd make five hundred in, I don't know, probably an hour?"
Eddie choked on his snickerdoodle.
Huh??
"Hmfp??" Eddie tried to speak through the mouthful of crumbs he had, though with the way his eyes had widened, staring at Hen as he sat stock-still, it was clear she had taken him off guard.
And she really, really had. Panties? What was she even suggesting?
OR
Buck walks into Eddie trying on panties for the first time. They both act normal about it.

Summary
“I have loved you,” Buck said, “across fires, floods, earthquakes, mistaken identities, one brief period where everyone believed I was a secret prince, and the unfortunate week when you were cursed by a jealous botanist.”
Eddie’s mind snagged. “A what?”
“But even if all that vanished,” Buck continued fiercely, “even if every memory burned away, I would love you still. In this life. In the next. In whatever strange world dares to separate us and call itself real.”
