Its so good omg this was such a trip to read and omg I shed some tears reading it.. I loved the setting and how alphaxalpha is set up to be inherently wrong — especially with how some comments argued that bitching is never consensual, or that its dangerous to them or others because of their instincts to dominate and be defensive, though I think the story sets a third instinct that society as a whole forgot about which is to protect. You can see it in both kats and izuku but their way of protecting eachother varies wildly — kats protecting izu from media and izu protecting kats from harm, and the near ending scene where izu growls at the gang,, he did it to protect him(even though he didnt need it...) I just thought the whole instincts thing was really interesting...
The first two chapters were so frustrating but understandingly so,, how kats was so scared to actually commit to something with izu, especially after seeing the other alpha get rejected from society. Izuku's self sacrificing was also so fascinating to read because its so deep in his nature to be self sacrificing that it gets to a point where hes actively hurting the people around him and seeing him and kat actually talk like bro THEY ACTUALLY TALK TO EACHOTHER maybe not at the start BUT THE FINAL CHAPTER OUHHHHH ITS SO GOOD I COULD GLAZE IT ALL DAY and genuinely I loved all the details
However,,, my favourite sequence has to be this part.. (idk how to use the HTML shit)

Like just kill me atp?? Its such a good fucking line and I feel like you can read the tiredness and how fed up kats is with izu. ARAGGAHAFS THEYRE SO COMPLICATED I LOVE THEM my close second favourite scene has to be the yt video though it really reminds me of streamer aus that I used to read so often because of a certain fandom (cough cough,,) and the comments were so realistic i feel.. the way they were analysing without knowing the full story and kinda ignored others because of their own views and whatever,, the video itself was also rlly entertaining to read i could imagine watching it ngl.. I ALSO LOVED THE GAME THEORY REF as soon as I saw the name I was like??? Quirk theory.. game theory..? Though admittedly i havent watched in a long time..FOR TO MENTION ENDEAVOR!! FUCK HIM YOU ASSHOLE HOW ARE U GNNA GO THROUGH THE WAR AND STILL BE A PIECE OF SHIT!! I really hated him throughout this fic bro though I do think it was necessary.. still hate his ass.. .
Overall I loved this fic — especially the world building and dkbk's communication and connection with eachother.. LOTS OF LOVE AND LOTS OF KUDOS!!

Dude I was so scared it would be a sad ending LIKE WHAT WAS TDRK'S REACTION WAS WHEN BKG DIED AGGGSHSBBS i loved how the ending was written, I feel like you can sense the confidence in bkgs voice LIKE YES. HES GOING TO COME BACK AND WITH BONUSES and ugh I loved how the story was written and the setting its so good and gut wrenching because both of them still have be sent out into these battles,,, i loved the little scene between aizawa and bkg because they dont have enough heroes to not utilise bkg until hes rlly unable to BKG BEING SENT OUT AND YUZU BEING CONFUSED ARGWYHSHEG this fic was just so well written from the setting, the characters, bkgs deep insecurity, tdrks caring and comforting attitude, the ongoing war, and just the word choice was so good I cant recommend this enough

READ IT ITS SO GOOD HOLY IVE BEEN SEARCHJNG FOR A FIC LIKE THKS FOR SO LONG thr fact that katsuki didn't get kidnapped but rather self inflicted the hurt the pain and oh my god i thought it was nuts that the others didnt even try to find him in some way, like they called and everything but like he was out there for months that is crazy holy shit and the way katsuki broke i just started crying bro I love how the ending is open ended, rearing to a hopeful ending (i dont think this fic can have a happy ending, like he could be integrated into society and etc. But I dont necessarily think it'd be,, happy because of everything he went through. BUT nevertheless the ending gave me hope that there can be a future where he suffers less..) This story was a hell of a good story and I know that ill keep reading the first few chapters for angst every once in a while. I wasnt expecting bkgs parents coming in near the end (I thoufht it was too late/thought it would've been mentioned earlier) but nevertheless it was still nicely paced and AOYZHAHS AIZAWA AND BKG CARING FOR EACHOYHER AHEGWHE dude the part where bkg in his journal goes "i think aizawa would care if I died" was so heartbreaking but also so cute like YES he would care sm that man is ur parental figure 😭😭 i loved bkgs relationship with kiri,, staying away when they know they need time and ugh theyre written so well and AYXHSHSH this story is so fucking good I cant im gnna miss it so so so so much (also partly the reason it took me months to finish it,, i was stuck on chapter 30 and just couldn't handle it) and idk like i feel like this is gnna be a story thats gnna stick in my head for a while,, ive cried ALOT during this fic and my pillows were soaked for a while but yknow it was worth it
I loved this fic and id give it my full recommendations to anyone who likes to cry -
