Alex pulled a face. Assuring him that Alex would handle the bureaucratic side of things had been one of the ways he'd gotten Greg to agree to it in the first place, so in that regard, the man wasn't entirely wrong. "It was – it is."
"Then why, Little Alex Horne, do you seem to increasingly be an administrative ball ache?" Greg demanded. "And before you even think about making a joke about my balls—"
Alex's eyes flickered down to Greg's crotch rather of their own accord. "They are looking for volunteers for the urology centre at the medical school," he offered blandly.

Alex winced and scratched the side of his head. “I was, erm, sleeping?” he offered, although not very convincingly.
Needless to say, Greg didn’t look convinced. “Were you?” he asked flatly, clearly already well aware of the answer.
“No, Captain.” Alex said, and if his ears hadn’t already been blistered red by the wind, they’d be flushing. “I was playing a game with Mr Key and Mr Watson.”
Greg barked a laugh and shook his head. “Christ,” he sighed. “I should have you flogged for that.”
“Yes, Captain.”
Greg tried and failed to give him a disapproving look. “Try not to sound so excited about the prospect.”
Alex grinned. “Yes, Captain.”
