Tim just sighed. He didn’t want to deal with a paranoid Batman right now. Emotion bled into his tone. “Look, that doesn’t matter right now. It’ll all make sense in a moment.” He had to really resist the urge to press his palms into his eye sockets, anything to quell the incoming headache. “Just, please, last night you were in Gotham on a typical patrol, and now you’re here, with nothing in between? Nothing at all?”

Tim grieved for his family, moved on, and became an adult. It had been eight years after all.
But now they were back. Very suddenly.

Getting good grades, writing his personal statement, finding glowing references, everything about the college application process had been easy. Methodical. Until this point.
Tim didn't know why he couldn't book his flight, why he had been staring at the landing page as his coffee had slowly grown cold. Maybe he couldn't go ahead with this. Maybe he just needed someone to stop him.

Tim decides his time with the Waynes has run out and that the only way to move on is by running away to university. Bruce disagrees.
