Summary
Thanks to his job as an underpaid stagehand, Sonic is among the lucky few to meet his celebrity crush: the reclusive lead singer-songwriter of internationally famous rock band, Dark.
Shadow, on the last stop of their latest international tour, meets a handsome, friendly, extroverted stagehand who happens to be a talented hobby keyboardist.
Both secretly fall in love, and Shadow finds himself obsessed as they grow closer through music, but their budding relationship might be doomed if Shadow can't overcome the fear and emotional scars of his past. Fortunately, Sonic isn't the type to give up on anyone (even at their lowest).
Will they fit together or fall apart?

"White Roses, Black Doves" by Mortior
By a chance encounter Sonic gets involved with his favorite band, among them his celebrity crush: Shadow. Shadow's past hurts cause him to react negatively once the feelings between them become real. After two grueling weeks, everything them were hiding comes to light.
Absolutely loved the depth of emotion in nearly every sentence of this story and the careful description of little noises and movements. It brought every interaction to life. The inclusion of my favorite music, woven seamlessly into the story, made an already awesome experience that much better. I related to Shadow HARD, like looking at my own inner world put on a page, which is very uncommon.

Sonic Prime Sonadow. Sonic is oblivious as Shadow struggles following the Paradox Prism fueled mess. A confrontation leads to a sleepover. All the while, fueled by the night's air of vulnerability, they realize they're scared of losing each other (and learn that this other feeling between them is mutual too). So sweet and heartfelt, I enjoyed every moment!

In the stretch of winter, Sonic and Shadow come together under the realization that they’re dealing with the same issue: Lonliness.
Slow season typically has Sonic hanging with his friends all the time, but now he has to bob and weave around their busy schedules. Rouge recently moved out of Shadow’s apartment with him, and he’s trying to be okay with living alone again.
But when Sonic kisses Shadow, things feel different. Exciting. They meld into this new relationship, navigating grief, quirks, and each other’s bodies.
With the help of lots of cigarettes and lots of gum.
