There was once a plain world, and one entity decided to bring forth gods to protect and rule the future they foresaw. So they planned, they waited. Then a spark happened
One lonely world, along a vast plane, existed. One star bright among the black canvas. They watched over it, curious about the world that one mysterious deity had created out of loneliness.They watched it branch, alternate universes connecting to one. Only when it reached a certain number did they start to create their own.
The first one is the advocator, given the ability to aid in creating with a swipe of their brush.

Prowl’s doorwings flicked up. His Tac-Unit had clocked them miles back. Rumors spoke of Barbarians wandering the wastes, feral mecha lying in wait to raid unsuspecting travelers and make off with mecha to ravage as war prizes. But Prowl put no stock in baseless rumors. He was here to complete his mission and he'd do it well regardless of any Bandits' sad attempts at trying to get the jump on him.
The Constructicons come across another supply transport ripe for the picking after Scavenger picks up a lovely scent, only to find that their target's more prepared compared to the usual easy Citymecha. That was fine. Scrapper always loved a challenge.

Summary
Having a Tac-Net embedded in one's processor causes new and exciting mental health complication.
Ones that can be mitigated by carefully scheduling a repair cycle on one's own coding every decivorn. Needing 38 days of complete, uninterrupted rest every 8.3 years isn't that bad, seeing how powerful the Tac-Net was.
But in a war, it can become hard to fit in between crises. Especially since Prowl's Leader consistently prioritizes his moral high-ground over making sound strategic decisions and Prowl is the one who then needs to manufacture miracles to pull the Autobots back from the brink of annihilation on a regular basis.
But on Earth, things have, finally, calmed down.
And Prowl needs his medical nap.

Summary
Some Cybertronians think Outliers are better than the average mech. Others think they're freaks to be avoided. For young Outliers, being revered or shunned for their unique abilities almost always has the same results: they withdraw from society, doomed to a life of eccentric loneliness. Or they lose themselves to fame and objectification, not knowing how to see themselves for who they are beyond their image in the optics of their admirers.
In truth most of them just want to live normal lives, and find their true purpose in doing so.
. . .Or: I have yet to find a fic that revolves around Prowl and Soundwave being buds so I'm writing it myself, as you do.
